It is time to take the poisoned pill. In each state where gay marriage is being debated merely contact your state rep and suggest that if the bill passes then as a married person you will revoke your marriage license. This will do 2 things; 1) create havoc with the court system and 2) allow each and every presntly married person who stays home with their children to be eligible for any government subsidy for the unemployed and indigent. 

Now before you balk at the idea of "not being married" anymore remember that you are still married in the eyes of your faith, just not in the eyes of the law. The threat of breaking the coffers of the state legislature should do the trick.
